The Nielsen's: Fun Weekend

It was a nice weekend and we had some good stuff planned! Friday night Baca and I went over to Brooke and Ryans for a BBQ dinner. We hung out there for a while, talked, watched The Rocker and left pretty late. It was a lot of fun and it felt good to get out of the house! Thanks Brooketini and Ryan! Saturday morning we picked up Derrick and headed to Gateway to watch Star Trek. I must say, this movie was amazing. I enjoyed every bit of it. Afterwards we went to the shooting range to test some guns. Baca has been dying for a gun to have at home for a "protection plan". It was a pretty cool activity! I started out with a 9 mil. (easier for me to have) and tried two different types. I enjoyed the CZ the best! It was a bit heavier but, the recoil was much nicer than the more compact one I tried first. We got two targets- one with 6 circles and the other a picture of Binladen :D Derrick and I tried for mostly headshots with Binladen! Baca only got to 'obsereve' because he forgot his license sadly. Still, a ton of fun at the shooting range! After that, we dropped Derrick off and stopped by Tyler and Emilys. We headed up to Red Butte to take a walk ( I have never been there in the 5 years I have lived here!! Sad!!) so it was new for me. It was a really nice day out as we took a stroll around the gardens. We all went to Cafe Rio for some dinner and then back to their place to hang out. It was a great and relaxing day!!

Thanks Baca for the good idea to shoot today! Do you see the black mark on my forehead? Yea- thats from the shells that come flying at your face and they are blazing hot! Derrick had a bad burn on his forehead too!
