We had a 2 day check up after we left the hospital to check on her weight. She was still a little under her birth weight (ugh!!!) but everything else looked good. I try to pump at least twice a day and feed her when she wants. I feel bad because I have to give her so much formula, but my main goal is to get this kid fat. She also had me up every half hour the first 4 nights. I had nursed her for almost 2 hours one night and she was STILL hungry. I felt so bad because I couldn't 'satisfy' her needs. Breastfeeding is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I hope to get to the point where she can be all breast milk. I got plenty of recommendation on what to do. The main one is- drink, drink, drink. I thought I was dehydrated before, but if I don't drink all the time I will literally be dried up! Anyway- we have another check up Monday and I am nervous about weighing her. I feel like she is more than 4lbs (still so sad to say- 4lbs! itty bitty) but trying not to get too excited.
So far being at home is good. Time is flying by, I have only about 3 more weeks left until I go back to work. I hope my breast milk will be ok by then. My mom will be here till the 20th and then I will have to ship her off to baby sitters. Still looking for some back up if anyone wants to watch her!! :) I have one very awesome and trustworthy babysitter, Emily. I can say that I miss work a little bit, more like I get a little bored at home. Since she is so small, she has been pretty easy- eat, sleep, and poop. This will be a short and sweet blog, I am trying to get cute pics of her.
PS- I don't know where I am going to get the energy to work out. :P
