No Cute Pics This Time

As of lately we had a good, healthy, happy baby.  Then it happened.  Again.  She got another cold.  Or so we thought.  I think we had about 1 to 2 weeks of happy baby, with no coughing or snotty nose.  Then as of early this week she got her usual runny nose and clogged up nasal passages.  By Thursday, I came home earlier than routine because I didn't want to drop her off at the babysitter to share more germs.  Thankfully, I have a sister in law that is a pediatric nurse and offered her services to check out her breathing.  She was clogged and getting cranky.  Her past colds didn't really effect her moods too much.  This one is the one you could tell she was having a rough time.  Later that night (after a nice meal thanks to my bro and sis in law :) Andrea (sis in law) and I headed to her work at the U hospital.  We didn't wait long thankfully and got a room.  Andrea recognized most of the doctors and they were all very informative.  I was worried about her having RSV.  My BF Linda had texted that day about how her friends baby was in the hospital b/c of it.  Well, she has Bronchiolitis ( its in the family of RSV) and she had to get sucked out.  I couldn't stay in the room to watch them stick a tube down her nose and listen to her scream.  I still tear up thinking about it.  Thankfully, Andrea was kind enough to stay in there and help hold her down.  After it was finished,  my poor bug was cranky and tired again.  Bug and I got home around 10:30pm and she went in her swing to pass out.

The next day was a bit more relaxing.  I had already texted my boss saying I wouldn't be in to work.  That is one promise I made to myself- if the kid goes to the hospital, I will allow myself to not stress about work the next day.  We headed to pediatrician to get a follow up.  Our usual doc wasn't in so we got another nice Dr. who checked her ears to find a wonderful ear infection starting.  Poor bug.  She was really starting to show how uncomfortable she was.  We left feeling better that we caught it right when it started so we could hit it out before our trip to DC on the 18th.  It was funny because she accidentally rolled over and Baca had to catch her before she fell of the bed in the doctors office!  So cool (her rolling over anyway)!  Anyway, this weekend has been BORING and tiresome all at the same time.  I want to go out but I didn't want to drag bug around too much.  Baca had a rough week so he was all about staying at home.  There is only so much internet you can search...

Today- we stopped by Alpine Clinic to get her sucked out again.  Yep, I was outside when the process started but I was grateful to have her be able to breath for a while.  She has been sleeping like a newborn today- stay up for an hour, sleep for a couple.  I was desperate enough to go see a movie by myself but I started to get the aches and pains.  UGH .  Oh well, guess it is just rest, rest, and more rest for us this weekend.  Anyways- just another fun blog about our child being sick :)  Everything else is going well!
