Came on the blog and realized I haven't blogged in a while. This past week I have been horribly sick (started with a head cold, and wanted to puke every day, every hour). NO - I am not prego, just to clear the air. Here is some stuff of whats happened, enjoy.
1: We moved. Yep, hopefully the last time but we say that everytime sooooo, prolly gonna have something come up and make us move again. We are only a couple of blocks away from our old place, and we really like it here. We went from a 2- 1 bedroom due to budget constraints (Baca hitting out school with some heavy class loads). We also got rid of a lot of useless crap. Which feels really good if you have been carrying it around for years. Really, the only problem we have had so far is an annoying neighbor. We moved in first and found out we could hear everything through the wall...EVERYTHING. There is a door going into her apartment from ours (it used to be a 2 bedroom and now ours is just a 1 and he rents the other as a studio). This dumb blonde knowingly moved in when she is extremely hateful towards anything that makes noise (specially dogs). She could hear us and we could hear her. We thought- hey if we just make sure to be quiet at certain times (like the mornings, past 10pm, ect) then it should be fine. Its apartment living, so its not unusual these things occur, right? Wrong. We should have know better when her dad was holding her hand (not literally) and asking all the questions when checkin out the apartment. The result to any of the noise problems is "you will kick them out right?" Seriously- to any kind of question that burdens her everyday, snowboarding, boy hugging life. A couple of days ago (and we had been going pretty good! we got some stuff over the door to block sound) I guess we weren't as quiet as we should have been in the morning (oh no, we whispered). Once we left the dogs ran around (which we were hoping they could do since we have an upstairs and downstairs and don't have to worry about people under us) and woke her hippy butt up. Her schedule is stay up to 1-3 am, have people over, no biggy, then sleep to your hearts content when shes not at school or snowboarding.
I was in bed around 9 when Baca comes in and freaks out because he could hear the whole convo with her and the landlord. She was panicking about how our dogs woke her up at 7:30 in the morning. She said she banged on the walls to shut them up ( I giggled at that part) which, obviously, didn't work. She kept asking " well aren't you going to kick them out?!" and of course our landlord has common sense and tried to avoid the questions. It ended with "if another person complains about them, you will kick them out right?" which left a sour note on our part. Baca was pretty worried we have to go through this crap AGAIN (another great story of apartment living, the last time this happened it wasn't even the dogs that bugged them). I personally was just trying to sleep and make it through another day of not to blow chunks at work. Sadly, it kept me mind awake for a couple of hours. Anyways- good thing is, so far we haven't heard from our landlord, I already have a plan to get everyone in the house to be against hear anyway, and we keep the pups upstairs when we are gone. Lets hope this will be the last rant to post about neighbors.
2: I had to work with a person who didn't know how to do her job. It only lasted about 2 weeks thankfully. But, they were the hardest 2 weeks of my working life. I truly believe I got this sick b/c of the stress and pain this person caused me. My boss left for a week on vacation and had her mom come in and train/help at the office (the mom used to own the company, now the daughter and son in law own it). The mom blew up twice in one week at this girl b/c she couldn't catch on. Those were very enjoyable moments. My bosses came back Monday (planned to let her go Tuesday , on payday) and ended up letting her go at lunch on Monday. They couldn't wait that long and told her- you ain't workin hun. Funny thing is (just shows how much she doesn't listen) my boss told her to pick up her check at the will call door (where customers come to pick up meat). The girl even calls me at noon to see if her checks ready and I remind her to go to the will call door. Not even 5 min later, she walks in the office. No one wanted to see her, I am sure she didn't want to see anyone but man, I am glad she is gone!
3: I am still sick. Started last Saturday morning, woke up and it hit me, hard. The rest of the week I couldn't eat what I want and wanted to puke every 5 min. It was seriously like being pregnant (thats what everyone told me)..nausea all the time...it was bad. I finally left work early on Thursday (worried b/c I was still sick and saw no progress of feeling better) to go to the doctor. I went to IHC which didn't accept my insurance. A waste of half an hour waiting to be told that kinda sucked. Ended up going to the Foothill Clinic which wasn't bad but was forgotten about b/c the door somehow got shut and I waited for about an hour sitting in the small room freezing (it had a big window). Thankfully, the doc came in, smacked my belly a bit and said- yep you have a stomach virus. Really? Thanks doc. He gave me anti-nausea meds which is really all I wanted. I also got to pee in a cup b/c like everybody else said- "your pregnant". Proved em wrong pretty quick.
4: Didn't get to do what I want today. I wanted to wake up and go eat breakfast with Baca. I ended up missing Susels Baby shower after climbing the stairs and feeling like I was gonna pass out. I really wanted to do something cute like a picnic or even a nice lunch/dinner (just get of the freakin apartment I have been stuck in everyday after work). I ended up sleeping most of the day and ate almost a whole mid size cookie baca gave me. I am grateful my husband has been able to put up with me. I gave him what I have and he has been trying to take care of me most of the time. I hope everyone else's V day weekend has been enjoyable! Sorry for all the venting, just tired and ready to be healthy again!!
